The Eta Lambda chapter of Zeta Tau Alpha was founded at the College of Charleston in 1971. Our open motto is “Seek the Noblest” and we strive for that in everything that we do. We are incredibly passionate about our philanthropy, breast cancer education, awareness and survivor recognition. Nationally Zeta is partnered with the National Football League (NFL), the American Cancer Society and Bright Pink. The Zeta Tau Alpha Foundation works to educate and spread awareness about breast cancer as well as provide $620,000 in scholarships annually, and to sponsor educational and leadership opportunities for our members.
As Zetas, we value sisterhood above all things. We have several sisterhood events every month, these include things like hot chocolate bars at the house and painting the Folly Boat for October Breast Cancer Awareness month. From late night ice cream runs after chapter and movie nights to trips to the beach whatever we are doing, we’re always happier doing it together as sisters. This year, we had an awesome formal on a boat cruise through Charleston harbor, we also had a Draft a Date date party. Every month we have themed socials with the other Greek chapters on campus, this year some of our themes were Toga and Yoga, and Hometown Throwdown!
The purpose of Zeta Tau Alpha is the intensifying of friendship and the fostering of a spirit of love. Each member of Zeta Tau Alpha takes pride in who we are and what we stand for, we encourage you to go greek!
