In response to NPC’s recommendations, the College of Charleston Panhellenic is excited to announce that PNM’s (Potential New Members) will have the opportunity to submit a video to introduce themselves to our nine organizations. In the video, please state your full name, hometown, and hometown state as well as respond to a minimum of three or four of the question prompts provided.

QUESTIONS:

  • What is the best piece of advice you have ever received?

  • What do you consider to be your greatest accomplishment thus far?

  • What made you choose the College of Charleston?

  • How can you incorporate your personal values into the sorority experience?

  • What are three of your personal values and how do you incorporate these into your everyday life?

  • Tell us something about yourself that someone might be surprised to learn

  • Who is your role model in life and why?

  • What do you value most in a friendship?

  • Tell us about something you are passionate about

  • What made you decide to go through recruitment?

Our chapters are looking forward to getting to know the true YOU. Do not be afraid to be fearlessly authentic. This is the time to show our organizations your personality through this one-minute introduction segment.

Regarding dress code, our recruitment response team recommends you dress in an attire that makes you feel comfortable and confident. Choose an outfit similar to the one you might wear to dinner with friends. Videos must be 45 seconds minimum, 120 seconds maximum. Only submit one video. Once the video is submitted it is final. If your video does not adhere to the timeframe and additional guidelines outlined below, it will not be accepted by CofC Panhellenic and will not be shared with chapters.

Guidelines:

  1. Videos should be no longer than 120 seconds or two minutes.

  2. Videos should be a minimum of 45 seconds

  3. No props should be used.

  4. Backgrounds should be neutral—this does not mean you have to stand in front of a blank wall, but it should not be distracting

  5. Videos should only feature the PNM.

  6. PNMs should not hire a third party to produce, film, and/or edit the video.

  7. All videos are due by 5 pm EST on Sunday, August 8th, but we encourage you to submit them as soon as possible.

***The video needs to be a link on registration. The easiest way to create a link to your video is to upload the video onto YouTube and make the video “unlisted”. No one will be able to view your video online unless they have access to the link.***

VIDEO SUBMISSIONS THAT DO NOT ADHERE TO THESE GUIDELINES WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED AND PNMS WILL NOT BE ABLE TO SUBMIT A NEW VIDEO
