A sorority recommendation provides an opportunity for a member of a sorority to introduce a potential new member to her organization and a specific chapter on a campus. It highlights pieces of the PNM's accomplishments and experiences that show she will be an engaged member of the sorority and uphold the values and expectations of membership. A letter of recommendation is not required to go through this process, but if you feel the need to have them, you are welcome to do so!
The College of Charleston Panhellenic Council is currently accepting letters of recommendation in both the forms of physical mail and virtual. If the alumnae writing the letter chooses to do the online process, NPC sororities are now utilizing online tools, such as a form on the sororities website, to submit these letters. Each Sorority has its own policy and form to fill out, so it will be important that recommenders use the system that is described on their national organizations website.
If the alumnae is sending in the letter of recommendation via physical mail, the address to do so is:
Higdon Student Leadership Center Attn: (Whichever organization the recommender is a part of)
69 Coming Street
Charleston, SC 29401
