Circle of Sisterhood

Each Panhellenic sorority has their own philanthropy that is near and dear to their hearts, but the National Panhellenic Council has a nationwide philanthropy as well.  Circle of Sisterhood is a non-profit organization founded and powered by sorority women across the country. The mission of this foundation is to help women around the world facing proverty and oppression get the education they need and deserve.

Here at College of Charleston we promote Circle of Sisterhood and raise money in many different way. Throughout the year philanthropic events for Circle of Sisterhood include tabling, or handing out information on campus at places like cougar mall or brining speakers to campus for education. In the past we have also put on filming nights for sisters to spend time together, eat some popcorn, and learn about the ways that circle of sisterhood impacts girls across the world.

Each year we hold one large philanthropic event in order to raise money for circle of sisterhood and for each sorority to come to help contribute in their own unique manner. This year we will, again, have had a carnival where each sorority contributes their own booth and girls enjoy various activities and raffles. New this year we will hold a COS week along with the carnival!
